HU frosh Wust gets weekly soccer honor from Crossroads League

Huntington University freshman Isaac Wust has been named the Crossroads League Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 30.

Wust, a midfielder on the men's soccer team from Huntington, scored a pair of goals and assisted on another to help guide the Foresters to a 1-0-1 record during the week of Sept. 23.

Against Mount Vernon on Sept. 25, the rookie registered his third assist of the season in the 67th minute of play before burying the game-winner less than two minutes later to lift Huntington past the Cougars 3-2.

On Saturday, he followed up by scoring his team's first goal off a corner kick against 18th-ranked Indiana Wesleyan in a match that eventually ended in a 2-2 draw.

To date, Wust has scored three goals to go along with three assists for nine points on the season.
