HU women harriers 12th at Great Lakes Challenge

The Huntington University women's cross country team placed 12th in a field of 37 teams on Saturday, Oct. 26, at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge at Aquinas College.

All but one of the teams beating the Foresters were ranked.

The Foresters' top five runners all finished in the first 75 in the field of 363, led by Gretchen Spahr's 27th place finish in 18:50. Cendall Ogle placed 33rd in 18:57, Erin Rockey was 45th in 19:07, Krista Wood was 63rd in 19:20 and Christine Sparks was 73rd in 19:29.

HU scored 240 points. Taylor won the meet with 80 points.

Natalie Spahr placed 77th in 19:36 and Hannah Moore was 96th in 19:55 to complete the HU top seven.
