HU men's hoop squad grabs southern Indiana standout Clark

Head Coach Ty Platt and the Huntington University men's basketball program have announced their first 2014-15 recruit with the signing of Switzerland County High School standout Austin Clark.

With his senior campaign yet to come, the Vevay native has already racked up numerous local and state awards throughout his prep career. The 6-7 forward has twice earned a spot on the annual list of Top 100 Underclassmen in Indiana in addition to claiming all-conference honors the last two seasons.

As a junior, Clark averaged 18.3 points and 5.2 rebounds and for his efforts received Indiana All-State honorable mention accolades.

"We are very excited to start off our 2014 recruiting class with the signing of Austin," said Platt. "He is a big strong young man that we think will have a tremendous career as a Forester. Austin can score inside and outside, is a strong rebounder, runs the floor well and plays with a passion. He has been coached well in high school and we think he will continue to develop into a top notch college player."
