HU men's golf finsihes 11th at NAIA Preview

The Huntington University men's golf team wrapped up its fall season by taking a final score of 622 to place 11th out of 16 teams at the NAIA Preview Invitational at Deere Run Golf Course in Silvis, IL, on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 15-16.

The Foresters had a score of 310 for the first day, and 312 the second day.

Freshman Josh Teulker led HU with scores of 71 on Thursday, and 79 on Friday to total 150 for the two days. Trey Stoll followed Tuelker with scores of 77 and 78 to end with 155. Jordan Dawes placed third for Huntington, taking scores of 81 and 77 to end with 158. Matt Wilson had 81 and 78 for 159, and Cory Powell took an 83 and a 79 to end with 162.

Oklahoma City University won the invitational with a total of 594. Texas Wesleyan University had a score of 599, HU rival Indiana Wesleyan University took 601 for third, Lee University ended with a 602 and Saint Ambrose University took fifth with 605.

Huntington finished its fall season with a record of 22-14.
