Zach Baldridge punched a hole through Columbia City's nets, scoring five goals to help the Huntington North boys' varsity soccer team rout the Eagles, 6-1, on Saturday, Sept. 6.

Baldridge, a junior, found the back of the net three times in the first half to send the Vikings into the break up 3-0. He scored twice more in the second stanza, which saw junior Alex Hosler get in on the fun with a goal as well. Columbia City scored to avoid the shutout, but it was too little, too late, as the Vikings improved to 3-4-1.

Seven different players fired shots for Coach Steve Saddington's squad, which finished with 16. Junior Jacob Vinson and freshman Keaton Smeltzer aided the offensive effort with an assist apiece.

Senior Kyler Town went the distance in goal for Huntington North, recording two saves.
