Varsity Eagles take two of three at Holiday Classic

The Huntington Eagles varsity basketball team participated in the Holiday Classic Home School Basketball Tournament at the Indy Indoor Sports Park in Indianapolis on Saturday, Dec. 5.

The Eagles participated in three different games throughout the day, and won two.

In the first match, the Eagles defeated the Northwest Warriors 54-33.

Jed Landis led the way with 20 points, 14 rebounds and five assists. Caleb Featherston added 14 points, Samuel Daniels scored seven points and added nine rebounds, Jonathon Yarde put six points on the board and Matt Weaver had seven rebounds.

The second game saw the Eagles fall to the Cincinnati Trailblazers 60-52.

Landis again led the Eagles with 25 points. Featherston had 15 points and Daniels added six points.

The Eagles defeated the Fort Wayne Hawks 48-34 in the third match.

Landis had 24 points, Trevor Lloyd added six points and Featherston scored five points.
