Lady Vikes swimmers suffer big loss to Warsaw

The Huntington North High School girls' swim team suffered a big loss to visiting Warsaw 126-60 on Wednesday, Dec. 9.

The Lady Vikes had only four wins and five second-place finishes.

Sophomore Sarah Karst was Huntington's top performer, winning the 200-yard freestyle in 2:13.85, and the 500-yard freestyle in 5:57.15.

Senior Mariah Partick took the 100-yard backstroke in 1:06.61, and sophomore Cassie Hacker won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:16.36.

Patrick also took second in the 50-yard freestyle, and Hacker took the silver in the 200-yard individual medley. Sophomore Rosemary Kaiser place second in diving.

Two HNHS relay teams also managed to take second place. Patrick and Hacker, along with senior Madi Wright and freshman Andrea Okuly composed the runner-up team in the 200-yard medley relay. The foursome of Okuly, Wright, Hacker and Karst placed second in the 200-yard freestyle relay.

The Lady Vikings are now 2-4 on the season.
