3 bombs push Lady Vikes past Homestead on diamond

A trio of two-run home runs pushed the Huntington North High School varsity softball team past host Homestead, 6-5, on Monday, April 20.

The big bombers were Maddi Kennedy, Ariene Butler and Aubrie Eckert, who helped HNHS improve to 3-7 on the season.

Kelsie Vogleman added three hits to the Lady Vikings' cause and helped make a winner of Hannah Middlebrooks in the circle. Middlebrooks went all seven innings, yielding seven hits, with two strikeouts and two walks.

Kennedy had a second hit and a stolen base on the day.
