Lady Vikes' Stoffel earns all-state in track

Huntington North High School junior Hannah Stoffel earned all-state status by placing fourth in the 1,600-meter run on Saturday, June 6, at the Indiana State Girls’ Track and Field Championship at Bloomington.

Stoffel ran a 4:55.62 for her placing, a little over three seconds behind champion Ana Rohrer, a senior from Mishawaka, who won the race with a clocking of 4:52.08.

Taylor Nicholson, a sophomore from Avon, placed runner-up in the race with a time of 4:54.73, and Katerine Free, a junior from Indianapolis Cathedral, was third at 4:55.70.

Stoffel earned six points for the Lady Vikings in state team scoring.

Stoffel also competed in the 800-meter run, placing 14th in 2:17.53.

HNHS freshman Karmen Koch competed in the high jump, placing 18th at 5-1.
