Williams, Koch both net hat trick as Lady Vike soccergirls rout New Haven

Senior Hannah Williams and sophomore Karmen Koch scored three goals apiece to highlight an 11-0 rout of host New Haven by the Huntington North High School girls’ varsity soccer team on Monday, Aug. 24.

In addition to Williams and Koch’s hat tricks, sophomore Taylor Conley put the ball in the net twice for the Lady Vikings, who improve to 1-1.

Huntington North scored 10 of its goals in the first half to put the game out of reach by halftime.

Sophomores Hannah Tillett and Sydney Kyle each contributed a goal to the Lady Vikings’ scoring blitz.

Tillett also played the role of offensive facilitator, registering six assists. Junior Courtney Christle and Koch each logged an assist as well.

Junior Brooke Trice and senior Carly Jaggers each handled goalkeeping duties for a half. Trice recorded three saves while Jaggers tallied two in the joint shutout performance.
