Bluffton swimmers tag Lady Vikes in opener

A pair of seconds by freshman Macy Lange highlighted the meet for the Huntington North High School girls' swim team as it fell to visiting Bluffton, 117-51, on Tuesday, Nov. 17.

Lange was runner-up in the 100-yard freestyle, in 1:05.85, and the 100-yard breaststroke, in 1:25.09, to lead HNHS individually. She also swam on two second-place relay teams, joining with Kaitlin Biehl, Alivia Eiting and Alexandra Short for runner-up in the 200-yard medley relay, in 2:23.43, and grouped with Eiting, Emma Gordon and Cassidy Butler for second in the 400-yard freestyle relay, in 4:50.01.

Biehl and Eiting, both seniors, each had a second place and third place finish individually for the Lady Vikings. Biehl was runner-up in the 100-yard backstroke, in 1:22.78, and third in the 50-yard freestyle, in :31.16, while Eiting was runner-up in the 200-yard individual medley, in 2:53.58, and placed third in the 500-yard freestyle, in 6:51.42.

Junior Emma Gordon added a runner-up finish in the 200-yard freestyle, in 2:31.47, and Butler was third in the 100-yard butterfly, in 1:33.34.
