FW runner wins 11th annual PKK Turkey Trot

Cody White, of Fort Wayne, beat Elias Rojas, of Syracuse, by five seconds to win the 11th annual Pathfinder Kids Kampus Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 26.

White, 25, clocked in at 15:47.5 for the 5K, while Rojas, 29, crossed the finish line in 15:52.9.

Kirstin Alles, 25, of Ligonier, was the overall female winner, clocking in at 19:14.6.

Wilson Whicker, of Uniondale, captured the male 14 and under category with a time of 17:50.8, while Tom Rohr, of North Manchester, was the winner of the male 15 to 19 class with a time of 17:06.9. Cordell Lewis, of Fort Wayne, won male 20 to 24 with a clocking of 16:23.0, Rojas won male 25 to 29, Joshua Meyerchick, of Fort Wayne, won male 30 to 34 with a time of 20:09.5 and Huntington North High School boys’ cross country coach Curtis Hines took male 35 to 39 with a time of 18:01.2.

Bradley Prather, of Roanoke, won male 40 to 44 with a clocking of 17:03.3, Greg Krider, of Fort Wayne, took male 45 to 49 in 18:57.5, Garrett Davenport, of Andrews, won male 50 to 54 in 20:37.9, Jerry Williams Jr. of Fort Wayne, won male 55 to 59 in 18:51.7 and Gordon Pleus, of Fort Wayne, took the top spot in male 60 and over with a time of 23:28.8.

On the female side, Skylar Kiess, of Fort Wayne, was the winner of 14 and under with a time of 21:08.5, Kara Seffernick, of Berne, won 15 to 19 in 21:19.5, Nicole Smith, of Warren, won 20 to 24 in 26:08.2 and Joanna Stebing, of Fort Wayne, won 25 to 29 in 21:10.8.

Karen Killian, of Bryan, OH, took female 30 to 34 in 20:48.4, Erica Cordes, of Wabash, won female 35 to 39 in 19:37.7, Jama Fry, of Roanoke, took female 40 to 44 in 23:30.9, HNHS athletic director Kristine Teusch won female 45 to 49 in 24:05.9, Robin Lewis, of Fort Wayne, took female 50 to 54 in 26:21.3, Anita Altman, of Roanoke, took female 55 to 59 in 33:44.2 and Kathy Pleus, of Fort Wayne, took female 60 and over in 26:47.7.
