Viking golfers lose by a stroke to Norwell

The Huntington North High School boys' varsity golf team lost by a stroke to host Norwell, 172-173, on Tuesday, April 26.

Nolan Betterly and Michael May each posted rounds of 42 to lead the Vikings, 1-3 overall and 1-2 in Northeast 8 Conference play. Martin Harold was a shot back at 43 and Jacob Vinson posted a 46.

Zane Cozad fired a non-scoring 53.

The HNHS junior varsity took a close win, 196-200.

Luke Stroud topped the JV with a 46, Jack Young fired a 47, Hunter Schwob shot a 49 and Jared Smith completed the team with a 54.

Sawyer Stolty had a non-scoring 59.

A second HNHS JV team lost 209-220.

Bramley Shultz had a 46 to lead the Vikings, with Noah Gass at 53, Luke Pulver at 54 and John Groves at 67.
