Huntington University V-ball team holding four camps in July at Merillat Complex

The Huntington University volleyball team is holding four camps in July. Each camp will be held in the school’s Merillat Complex.

The Shondell Day Camp is slated for July 5. The camp will feature instruction from nationally respected coaches Dave, Steve and John Shondell. The camp’s first session, at 10 a.m., will be run by John Shondell, associate head volleyball coach at Purdue University. The next session, at noon, will be conducted by Dave Shondell, head volleyball coach at Purdue. The camp will conclude with a 2 p.m. session led by Steve Shondell, who recently retired as head coach of the Ball State University women’s volleyball team. A wide range of skills will be covered in each session.

This camp is open to seventh through 12th grade girls and boys. There is a cost to attend each session or one cost to attend all three.

The All-Skills Camp will run from July 22 through 24. The camp will be in session from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day and feature all-around skills training. The Foresters’ head coach, Kyle Shondell, will run the camp, along with his staff and players.

The camp is open to fifth through 12th grade girls and boys. There is a cost to attend.
A camp for hitters and setters will be held on July 22, followed by a camp for defensive specialists and liberoes on July 24. Both camps will run from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

These camps are open to seventh through 12th grade girls and boys. There is a cost to attend each camp.
All attendance fees include the cost of a camp shirt.
