Senior Felix Benkel scored four goals and the Huntington North High School boys' soccer team battered host New Haven, 9-2, on Monday, Aug. 22.

The Vikings, 2-0-1, blitzed New Haven with seven second half goals to break a 2-2 halftime tie.

Other Vikings finding the back of the net included juniors Caleb Smith and Andrew Kaylor, sophomore Eric Allred and freshmen Tyler Christle and Peyton Miller.

Smith and Kaylor also had an assist apiece for HNHS. Aidan Hinesley had three assists to lead the way, and Kasey Konz, Carl Danarp and Carson Bolinger also had assists.

Freshman Aidan Hosler got the win in goal in relief of San Poling. While his teammates were blasting his New Haven counterpart in the second half, Hosler stopped the only shot sent his way to pick up the "w," the first of his career.
