MVNU sweeps HU spikers

The Huntington University volleyball team was swept by visiting Mount Vernon Nazarene University, 3-0, on Tuesday, Oct. 18.

Scores were 17-24, 24-26, 19-25.

The Foresters' sixth straight loss moved them to 11-15 overall and 5-8 in the Crossroads League.

Freshman outside hitter Paige Eakright led the Foresters with nine kills. Josie Beavers and Audrey Mallers chipped in five kills.

Breanna Levings and Emily Hubby each had 12 assists to help facilitate the offense, and Kate Cobb again rallied the defense with 13 digs.

Mount Vernon, 23-3 overall and 12-1 in the CL, completed a season sweep of the Foresters.
