HU women bowlers struggle at Indy meet

The Huntington University women’s bowling team placed 42nd at the 48th annual Backhaul Direct Hoosier Classic, which ran from Saturday, Feb. 11, to Sunday, Feb. 12, at Western Bowl, in Indianapolis.

The Foresters were led by Brianna Cearbaugh, who posted a six-game total of 1,203 pins for a 200.5 average. Senior Brooke Ewing also had a solid outing with a 1,082 total for a 180.3 average.

After Saturday, Huntington sat in 39th place with a team total of 5,179. Unfortunately for the team, Sunday was a completely different shot. The Foresters struggled to get any momentum going and finished with 2,425 pins to slip three spots in the final standings.
