The doubles teams led the way for the Huntington North High School girls' varsity tennis team in a 3-2 win over visiting New Haven on Tuesday, April 18.
The No. 1 doubles team of Macy Wohlford and Kassidy Thompson took down Allison Mason and Hannah Bathey, 6-0, 6-4, while the second doubles team of Anna Schroeder and Alyssa Hewson took a 6-2, 7-5 decision over Gabby Shuler and Emily Bricker. That paired with a win by Jessica Henline at first singles, 6-2, 6-1 over Lindsey DeCamp, to push the Lady Vikings to 3-2 on the season.
Katie Hunt at second singles fell to Erica Miller, 1-6, 2-6, and Tarah Zumbrun at third singles lost to Andrea Jordan, 2-6, 1-6.
The Lady Viking junior varsity upped its record to 4-1 with an 8-0 triumph.
Leann Ringenberg and Emily Bokel won in singles. Doubles teams winning were Olivia Bowman and Braxtyn Maroney, Julia Crist and Claire Ludlow and Maisy Kesler and Daphnee Landrum.
