Huntington County Special Olympics bowling starts Sept. 9

Huntington County Special Olympics bowling begins Sept. 9 at Rainbow Lanes, in Huntington, starting at 3 p.m.

Individuals must be at least 8 years old and have been identified as having an intellectual disability to be eligible to compete in Huntington County Special Olympics.

Families and friends are encouraged to attend all practices and competitions to cheer on the athletes. Parents are requested to attend the first practice to complete any necessary paperwork.

 

Practices continue on Saturdays through October with the regional meet in Fort Wayne on Nov. 11. Athletes must bowl a minimum of 12 practice games and compete in the county tournament to be able to qualify for the regional meet.
