Tougher course doesn't stop Lady Vike golfers from win

A tougher course still couldn’t stop the Huntington North High School girls’ varsity golf team as it dropped host New Haven, 188-245, at Whispering Creek Golf Course on Tuesday, Sept. 5.

The Lady Vikings apparently weren’t too put out by what Head Coach Ron Vinson described as  fairly tough course. Amara Eckert fired a 42 to lead the win, followed by Crosley Stanley with a 47, Laura Ham with a 48 and Jaclyn Boyd with a 51.

The Lady Vikings, 7-3 overall, finish the conference portion of their schedule with a mark of 6-1.

Sarah Malone was non-scorer with a 54.

Also golfing for HNHS, Danielle Gonser had a 53, Kassidy Krumanaker shot a 54 and Alyssia Stephen fired a 61.
