Lady Vike spikers let match slip away

The Huntington North High School varsity volleyball team let a 2-0 lead slip away into a 2-3 loss to host Blackhawk Christian on Thursday, Sept. 7.

Now 12-5, the Lady Vikes won the first game 25-19, and the second 25-13, before falling in the next three, 21-25, 24-26, 12-15.

Maddy Robrock was a force at the net for the Lady Vikings, knocking down 14 kills and making six blocks.

Kailtyn Stephan aided the offense with 25 assists and three aces.

Kalee Platt was the digs leader with 16.

The HNHS junior varsity won, 2-0, on scores of 25-8, 15-11.

Corynn Barton had six kills and three aces to help fuel the HNHS offense, which also got 12 assists from Morgan Robrock.

Erika Vinson had four digs for HNHS, 7-6 on the season.
