HU women harriers ninth at Twilight Invite

The Huntington University women’s cross country team finished ninth at the Twilight Invitational on Friday, Sept. 8, at Indiana Wesleyan University.

Out of 115 runners, Aspen Dirr paced the Foresters by finishing in just under 20 minutes at 19:59.0 to enjoy 24th place.

Kelsey Graber, 21:14.6, and Bianca Tisdale, 21:18.6, came in next for Huntington by placing 41st and 42nd, respectively. Erin Manchess posted a time of 22:25.3 for 53rd place and rounding out the scoring was Rachael Smelser, registering a time of 22:39.4 for 55th place.

Other runners for Huntington included MacKenzie Bobeck, 60th in 23:55.5, and Amanda Fielding, 61st in 24:46.4.

Taylor University took home the title with 32 points, followed by IWU, 83; Spring Arbor, 91; Ohio Christian, 110; Goshen, 153; IU Kokomo, 156; Saint Francis, 168; Grace, 175; and Huntington, 215.
