Streaking Vike netboys sweep South Adams

The streaking Huntington North tennis team won for the sixth time in its last seven outings with  a 5-0 sweep over host South Adams on Monday, Sept. 11.

Freshman Thomas Schweller led the way for HNHS, 6-5, with a 6-0, 6-0 shutout over Wes Stout at third singles.

The most games lost by any Viking was the three lost by No. 1 singles player Auden Eckert, who beat Davis Muselman, 6-1, 6-2. Matt Karst dropped only two games in a 6-1, 6-1 win over Cam Stevens at second singles.

Both doubles teams only dropped one game apiece. Spencer Atkinson and Clark Kitchen at first doubles took down James Fosnaugh and Brayden Gilbert, 6-1, 6-0, and Jarrett Gray and Adam Zahn at second doubles beat Paul Stuckey and Travis Clingenpeel, 6-0, 6-1.

The Vikings started the season 0-4.
