Louzada's OT goal pushes Foresters past Manchester

Matheus Louzada scored in overtime to lift the Huntington University men’s soccer team to a 2-1 victory over visiting Manchester University on Wednesday, Sept. 13.

Louzada, a junior, found the back of the net at the 95:36 mark, with freshman Noah Stanford assisting, to send the Foresters to 3-1-2.

Louzada played the role of facilitator on Huntington’s first goal of the game, assisting junior Miguel de Sousa on his score in the 42nd minute that deadlocked the game at 1-1 in the first half.

The Foresters logged 18 shots for the game, with 11 coming on goal. Louzada registered six of those shots on frame.

Defensively, goalkeeper Troy Hester recorded one save while the Huntington defense notched two.

Manchester falls to 3-2.
