HU netwomen rout Adrian

The Huntington University women’s tennis team routed host Adrian College, 9-0, on Wednesday, Sept. 20.

With the sweep, the Foresters’ fifth of the season, they picked up their seventh win against two losses.

Huntington posted two shutouts in singles play. Charlotte Seth blanked McKenzie Krieg at third singles, 6-0, 6-0, and Lisa Colling did the same to Mckayla Jorgensen in the sixth match.

Constanze Golz was a 6-1, 6-1 winner versus Amber Laginess at first singles. Meg Dolde took the second match versus Sam Cyrus, 6-2, 6-1. Lanae Singleton dispatched Olivia Neumann in the No. 3 tilt, 6-1, 6-3. Anastasiia Evstifeeva rounded out Huntington’s solo victories with a 6-0, 6-2 triumph over Elena Bishop in the fifth contest.

In doubles play, the first duo of Golz and Dolde trounced Laginess and Krieg, 8-0. Singleton and Colling topped Bishop and Neumann in the second match, 8-5, while Evstifeeva and Seth downed Cyrus and Julia Maltbie in the third tilt, 8-2.
