Singleton blanks foe as Forester netwomen cruise

Lanae Singleton whitewashed her opponent at third singles to pace the Huntington University men’s tennis team to an 8-1 wino over visiting Spring Arbor University on Tuesday, Sept. 26, at Klopfenstein Courts.

Singleton blanked Katelyn Dykema, 6-0, 6-0, as the Foresters won all but the first singles match on the way to improving to 10-2 overall, 6-2 in Crossroads League play.

Meg Dolde at second singles defeated Barbara Haikal at second singles, 6-1, 6-3; Charlotte Seth at fourth singles beat Emma Joseph, 6-2, 6-4; Lisa Colling at fifth singles defeated Brianna VanRavenswaay, 6-2, 6-4, and Anastasiia Evstifeeva at sixth singles knocked down Jewel Allen, 6-3, 6-0.

In doubles, Constance Golz and Dolde at first defeated Monika Wynne and Haikal, 8-5; Singleton and Colling at second took down VanRavenswaay and Kenzie Weener, 8-6; and Evstifeeva and Seth at No. 3 defeated Allen and Dykema, 9-8.

Golz at first singles lost to Wynne, 4-6, 3-6.
