Erlandson goal boosts Forester booters

A second-half goal by Jake Erlandson lifted the Huntington University men’s soccer team to a 1-0 victory over host Marian University on Wednesday, Oct. 25.

Erlandson, a freshman, found the back of the net at the 78:49 mark in the second stanza to tilt the game in favor of the Foresters, 8-4-4, 4-2-2 in Crossroads League play.

Huntington logged 12 shots for the game, five of which were on goal. Matheus Louzada produced two of those shots on frame.

Troy Hester went the distance in goal for the Foresters, making two stops to secure the win.

With the loss, Marian falls to 5-10, 2-6 in league action.
