Forester soccerwomen play Marian to 2OT scoreless tie

The Huntington University women’s soccer team played visiting Marian University to a scoreless tie in double overtime on Wednesday, Oct. 25.

A seven-save effort by goalkeeper Paige Coolman kept the No. 15 Knights off the board for just the second time all season.

Coolman’s Marian counterpart, Catherine Schmidt, stopped both shots that came her way. Junior Matea Knispel fired one of those shots on frame while junior Millie Adams produced the other for the Foresters.

Huntington finished with six shots for the game while Marian topped out at 19.

The Foresters move to 8-7-2, 4-3-1 in the Crossroads League, while the Knights go to 13-2-2, 6-0-2 in league play.
