Tannan Peters scored 18 points and Taylor Harris had 17 to lead the Huntington North High School boys' basketball team to a 76-25 shellacking of visiting Manchester in the Vikings' regular season finale on Friday, Feb. 27.
Rob Sands added 12 points for HNHS, 7-13, and Will Schenkel had nine.
The Vikings turned a 16-12 first quarter advantage into the start of a blowout with a 19-5 run in the second quarter. A 24-3 beatdown in the third quarter gave them a 59-20 lead heading in the fourth quarter, allowing HNHS Coach Joe Bradburn to give serious minutes to his full bench.
The Vikings hit 29 of 54 field goal attempts for 53.7 percent, including 12 of 25 three-point tries for 48 percent. Harris led that parade with a 6 of 7 shooting night, including 5 of 6 from behind the arc.
HNHS added insult to injury be dominating the Squires on the boards as well, 36-15, with Jordan Beaver grabbing eight and Peters seven.
Kyle Bradburn had five assists and Matt Kramer four for HNHS.
Manchester, which finished its regular season 2-18, was led by Scott Baker with eight points.
The Vikings are next in action Friday night, March 6, at sectional.
