Four Vikes get championships at EN Wrestling Invitational

Four members of the Huntington North High School varsity wrestling team topped their weight classes at the East Noble Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 6.

The Vikings’ first-place finishes were produced by Darryn Kuhl, at 113 pounds; Jacob Hall, 126; Ricky Haught, 132; and Christian Graft, 220. The quartet of gold showings propelled Coach Neil Teusch’s squad to third place at the invite with 187 points.

Huntington North got runner-up efforts from Adrein George, 160, and Charlie Agnew, 195. Kaleb McVoy, 152, turned in a bronze performance.

Cade MacAleese, 182, finished fifth for the Vikings while Michael Kline, 138; Matthew Kline, 145; and Clay Bryce, 170, each placed sixth.

Snider won the invitational with a tally of 220. Elkhart Central was runner-up with a register of 193.

Huntington North’s junior varsity squad competed at the Northfield Invitational. Evan Hill highlighted the team’s day with an undefeated run.
