Huntington Gymastics Academy hosts Fun in the Sun Champ meet

Several local gymnasts competed in the Huntington Gymnastics Academy Fun in the Sun Championship meet on Sunday, March 4, in the Huntington North High School Fieldhouse.

Huntington Gymnastics Academy’s Level 2 team earned first place. Norah Fisher took first on vault, bars, the floor exercise and the all-around and second on the balance beam. Kaylea Baker claimed second on floor and in the all-around, third on vault and bars and fourth on beam. Olivia Rosen earned second on bars, third on beam, fourth in the all-around and fifth on vault. Carlee Strunk secured first on beam, third on floor, fourth on vault and fifth on bars and in the all-around.

HGA’s Level 3 squad placed third. Brooke Clark captured third place on vault and in the all-around, fourth on bars and beam and eighth on floor. Jersey Hacker claimed sixth place on beam and 10th on vault, bars, floor and the all-around. Maleah Warpup took third on vault and beam, fourth in the all-around, ninth on floor and 11th on bars. Sarah Crist attained fifth on vault and floor, eighth on beam and in the all-around and 10th on bars. Kennody Williams earned sixth on vault and floor and ninth on bars, beam and the all-around. Adalyn Cutting placed fifth on beam, seventh on floor, ninth on vault, 10th in the all-around and 12th on bars.

The Level 4 team won its division for HGA. Alana Bonham captured first on floor and in the all-around, second on vault and beam and fourth on bars. Macy Vonuhl took first on vault and beam and second on bars, floor and the all-around. Lindsey Johnson placed first on vault, bars, beam and the all-around and third on floor. Jami Morgan claimed sixth on bars, seventh on vault and ninth on beam, floor and the all-around. Kinsey Strine earned sixth on bars, eighth on vault, ninth on floor and the all-around and 12th on beam.

The HGA Level 5 contingent finished third. Alaina Stanley attained first on floor, fourth on beam and in the all-around and sixth on vault and bars. Abby Denman won vault, was fifth on bars and beam and sixth on floor and in the all-around. Janna Teusch placed third on beam, ninth on vault and bars, 10th in the all-around and 12th on floor. Savanna Wilson claimed fourth on floor, fifth in the all-around, eighth on vault and beam and 10th on bars. Avery Pohler finished sixth on beam, seventh on vault, bars and the all-around and ninth on floor.

In Level 6 action, Ema Kline grabbed second on floor, fifth on bars, sixth in the all-around, seventh on vault and 10th on beam.

At the high school level, Chloe Camomile picked up third on vault and floor and fourth on bars, floor and the all-around.
