The Huntington University women’s golf team placed sixth out of seven teams at the Taylor University Purgatory Intercollegiate this week.
The Foresters shot a 365 on Thursday, then came back on Friday with a 356 for a total of 721.
Betsy Schroeder paced HU with a 176 to finish 21st out of 40 golfers. Abby Poole shot a 179 for 26th place, Alexandria Maris shot a 184 and Leah Thompson posted a 187.
Megan Higgins shot a 190 as HU’s non-scorer.
Rachel Blauert shot a 202 playing as an individual.
Taylor topped the leaderboard with a 624. Cardinal Stritch was second with a 627, Olivet Nazarene fired a 652 for third, Indiana Wesleyan had a 657 for fourth, Taylor B was fifth with a 701 and Spring Arbor was seventh with a 728.
