HU spikers lose twice on 2nd day at Siena Heights

The Huntington University volleyball team fell twice on Saturday, Sept. 1, on the second day of action in the Siena Heights Labor Day Tournament.

The Foresters, 3-6, lost a five-set thriller to a highly-regarded Campbellsville team before falling to Siena Heights in four sets.

HU fell to Campbellsville, 21-25, 25-20, 17-25, 25-20, 12-15.

Brandy Michie kept HU in the match with a career-best 20 kills. Lindsay Ingenito and Tailor Schultheis added 11 and 10 kills, respectively.

Jenna Tacosik directed traffic by dishing out 49 assists. The sophomore setter also collected 12 digs for a second straight double-double.

Ariene Butler led HU with 24 digs.

HU lost to Siena Heights, 25-18, 25-27, 28-30, 19-25.

Michie put together another 20 kills effort to place HU. Tacosik had 33 assists.

Butler finished with 21 digs, while Lanie McClanahan and Nicole Flickinger had 15 and 13, respectively.
