Fawcett leads HNHS spikers past Snider

Brette Fawcett had 14 digs and three aces to help lead the Huntington North High School volleyball team past host Fort Wayne Snider, 3-1, on Tuesday, Sept. 4.

The Lady Vikings lost a close match in the first one at 23-25, then reversed those fortunes in the second for a 25-23 win. They then won the next two, 25-14, 25-21 to improve their season record to 9-5.

Maddi Robrock knocked down 15 kills and Morgan Robrock quarterbacked the win with 18 assists.

Macy Niswander was a defenisve force at the nets with four blocks.

The Huntington North Junior varsity was a 2-1 winner over Snider to improve to 7-2 on the year.

Scores were 25-16, 18-25, 20-18.

Mia Garner was the offensive hammer with 12 kills, and Alexa Spahr delivered 10 assists. Corynn Barton and Garner both had three aces.

Victoria Myers added five digs.

The HNHS frosh lost, 1-2 on scores of 18-25, 25-14, 6-15.

Alyna Pohler had two kills and four aces to lead HNHS. Della Nix had two assists and Makenna Shearer and Kendra Sandlin each had three digs.

The frosh are 1-3.
