HNHS soccergirls bounce back into win column

The Huntington North High School girls’ varsity soccer team bounced back in a big way from its first loss of the season by running roughshod over host Fort Wayne South Side on Saturday, Sept. 8, in a 7-0 win.

The Lady Vikings atoned ford the loss on Tuesday by scoring four goals in the first half and tacking on another three in the second.

Senior Amaya Sunderman and sophomore Adalyn Harveyeach tallied twice, and junior Alyssa Brinkman and Autun Anderson and freshman Addi Wiley found back netting once each.

Brinkman, Anderson and Wiley all added an assist to their goals. and junior Bella Bercik had two dimes.

Junior Kodi Douglas and sophomore Maddie Husband split time in the nets evenly. Douglas didn’t have to make any saves in her 40 minutes and Husband was called upon to make just one.
