Viking soccerboys blank DeKalb

Huntington North goalkeepers didn’t need to make a save and the offense put four balls behind the opposing keeper as the Viking boy’s soccer team defeated host DeKalb, 4-0, on Monday, Sept. 10.

Freshman Micah Smith got what proved to be the game-winning goal as HNHS improved to 5-3-1 on the campaign.

A second Viking freshman, Ashton Hosler, also scored, as did sophomore Alex Gass and junior Tyler Christle.

Peyton Miller had two assists and Hosler had one.

Aidan Hosler picked up the win between the pipes but did not have to make a save in 65 minutes of action. Ethan Stafford played the final 15 minutes.
