HU spikers fall in 4 to Taylor

The Huntington University volleyball team fell to host Taylor University, 1-3, on Wednesday, Oct. 17.

The Foresters gutted out a 28-26 win in the opening set, but lost by scores of 10-25, 13-25 and 19-25 in the ensuing frames to drop the match.

Huntington, 9-21, 5-9 in the Crossroads League, was paced by sophomore Paige Eakright, who produced 11 kills. Brandy Michie and Lindsay Ingenito both added eight kills. Jenna Tacosik helped facilitate the scoring with 20 assists. She also got in on the scoring herself with a pair of aces.

Defensively, Ariene Butler led the Foresters with 15 digs. Eakright and Tacosik each chipped in eight digs.

With the win, Taylor improves to 14-16, 7-8 in league play.
