HNHS simmers fall to Fort Wayne South Side

The Huntington North High School boys’ varsity swim team fell to visiting Fort Wayne South Side, 73-56, on Thursday, Dec. 13.

Strong in defeat for the Vikings was Cole Davidson. The sophomore won the 200-yard individual medley and 100-yard breaststroke. He took the medley in 2:30.79 and the breaststroke in 1:19.40.

Davidson also help Huntington North win both the 200 and 400-yard freestyle relays. He teamed up with senior Keegan Mautz, junior Nathan York and freshman Colt Schulte in both races, winning the 200 in 1:49.32 and the 400 in 4:03.31.

Individually, Schulte and Mautz both put forth golden efforts for the Vikes. Schulte triumphed in the 200-yard freestyle in 2:13.92 while Mautz was victorious in the 50-yard freestyle, touching the wall in :25.50.
