LaFontaine, Morris lad HU trackmen at MCC meet

Sean LaFontaine and Ryan Morris each placed third in one event as the Huntington University men's track team gathered 49 points to take seventh out of nine teams at the Mid-Central Conference Track & Field Championships at Goshen College on Saturday, May 1.

LaFontaine took the bronze in the 400-meter hurdles in 55.66, while Morris had third in the pole vault with a height of 13 feet, 3.5 inches.

Kam Bailey had two fourth-place finishes for HU, in the 400-meter dash and the 200-meter dash. Luke Diehl placed fourth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and Joseph Herber also knocked down a fourth-place finish, in the 10,000-meter run, to wrap up top five spots for the Foresters.

Huntington beat only the University of Saint Francis and Grace College, while Indiana Wesleyan took first overall with a score of 160.
