Marian spurt sinks Foresters

Host Marian turned a 10-10 tie after 10 minute into a 51-31 halftime lead on the way to an 89-63 win over the Huntington University men’s basketball team on Tuesday, Jan. 15.

HU dropped to 13-8 on the season, 3-6 in the Crossroads League.

Middlesworth finished with a game-high 27 points for HU. Spencer Ballinger was the only other Forester to reach double figures, scoring 12 points.

The productive Marian offense had five players score in double figures, led by Sterling Brown with 18 points and Cameron Wolter with 16. Wes Stowers popped in 14 points and TJ Henderson and Hayden Langkabel each knocked in 10 points.
