Davidson lone HMHS winner as swimboys fall to Norwell

Cole Davidson got the lone win of the meet for the Huntington North High School boys’ swim team in a 124-34 loss to visiting Norwell on Tuesday, Jan. 15.

Davidson, a sophomore, won the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:28.78.

Davidson also got one of three runner-up finishes for HNHS, doing so in the 100-yard freestyle in :59.64.

Senior Keegan Mautz and freshman Colten Schulte got the other two runner-up slots for the Vikings. Mautz was No. 2, in the 100-yard butterfly, in 1:08.55, and Schulte was second in the 100-yard backstroke, in 1:05.63.

Mautz also took third in the 100-yard breaststroke, in 1:15.84, and Schulte was third in the 500-yard freestyle, in 6:04.09.

Nathan York added third place points in both the 200-yard freestyle, in 2:20.17, and the 50-yard freestyle, in :26.74.
