Vikes' track season ends at regional

The Huntington North High School boys track team will not be sending anyone to the state meet this year as it had no top-3 finishes at the Marion Boys’ track Regional on Thursday, May 23.

Junior Nate Burns came the closest to qualifying, placing fourth in the 300-meter hurdles in :40.0.

Senior Ricky Haught placed fifth in the long jump with a distance of 22-1.5.

Senior Brock Spahr also recorded a fifth place finish in the 1,600-mer run clocking in at 4:27.74.

Senior Drew Davis placed 16th in the 3,200-meter run, crossing the  tape in 10:32.49.

Completing the day for HNHS, the 1,600-meter relay team of Burns, Nolan Hughes, Cody McCune and Jarid Miller placed ninth in 3:30.62.

The Vikings as a team placed 19th with 13 points.
