HU spikers claim two more wins at Forester Invite

The Huntington University volleyball team claimed two more wins on Saturday to close out the Forester Invitational with a 3-1 record in its first weekend of play.

The Foresters made quick work of Tennessee Wesleyan on Saturday morning in straight sets, 25-13, 25-21, 25-10, before getting a four-set win over University of Cumberlands in the evening, 25-17, 25-23, 23-25, 25-19.

In the opener, Paige Eakright and Lindsay Ingenito led the offense with 14 and nine kills, respectively,while Jennings Tacosik dished out 32 assists. Eakright was also a defensive force as she and Ariene Butler each collected 11 digs.

Tacosik and Elaine Bredensteiner combined for 10 aces.

Eaklright polished off another 20 kills in the nightcap while Ingenito had 13 to go along with 1.5 blocks. Tacosik seemed to be everywhere as she tallied 47 assists, had six digs, five kills and five aces.

Butler had 22 digs on the evening while Nicole Flickinger and Eakright had 17 and 12, respectively.
