Gass, Christle lead soccerboys past Wayne

Alex Gass and Tyler Christle each scored a pair of goals to lead the Huntington North High School boys’ varsity soccer team to a 7-2 win over visiting Fort Wayne Wayne on Thursday, Sept. 27.

The Vikings, 9-4-1 jumped out to a 4-0 lead after the first half of play and outscored the visitors 3-2 over the final 40 minutes to claim the win.

Gass, a junior, finshed with five points on the afternoon as he also had an assist to go with his goals.

Senior Peyton Miller also had a five-point game as she scored a goal and assisted on three others.

Sophomore Brady Henline and freshman Aric Hosler had the other two HNHS goals.

Aidan Hosler played the first half and got the win between the pipes without having to make a save. He even wound up with an assist.
