HU soccerwomen snap loss string

The Huntington University women’s soccer team snapped an eight-game losing streak with a 2-0 triumph over host University of Saint Francis on Wednesday, Oct. 9.

The Foresters tallied both of their goals in the first half. Sophomore Avery Giguere scored less than 90 seconds into the game, then freshman Kristin Byrd found the back of the net at the 22-minute mark.

Huntington, 4-9, 1-4 in the Crossroads League, finished with 13 shots, eight of which were on goal.

Sophomore Maddy Moan recorded seven saves in goal to notch the shutout for the Foresters.

With the loss, USF falls to 2-10, 0-5 in league action.
