Junior forward Noah Fleming broke a scoreless tie a little over four minutes into overtime to propel the Huntington University men’s soccer team past visiting Bethel University on Saturday, Nov. 9, and to the championship game of the Crossroads League Tournament.

The league tournament championship and an automatic bid to the NAIA national tourney will be decided next Saturday, Nov. 16, at top-seeded Spring Arbor.

Gabe Greenfield made three saves between the pipes until Fleming won it for HU, now 1-4-2 overall.

Bethel goalie Finn Popescu only needed to make two saves on the day, although he didn’t get the second one done.

Bethel finishes at 10-8-1 on the season.
