HU women bowlers fourth at WHAC Jamboree

The Huntington University women’s bowling team placed fourth at the WHAC Jamboree II, held Saturday, Nov. 9, in Grandville, MI.

The Foresters posted a score of 6,357. Amber Elliott led the team with a singles score of 801, good for a 200.25 per-game average. She finished sixth individually to miss making the all-tournament team by just 17 pins.

The highlight of the tournament was the performance of Huntington’s junior varsity squad, which contended for the JV title before conceding at the end. The Foresters finished second out of seven teams with a total score of 5,700 pins, just 62 pins behind the winning Lourdes squad.

Huntington was paced by Hannah Bond and Haley Tucker, who both had a 177.50 per-game average and finished in a tie for 25th in the final individual standings.
