HNHS boys’ track takes 3rd at meet

The Huntington North High School boys’ track team started their season on Saturday, March 20, earning third place overall in the New Haven Invite.

Coming in ahead of the Vikings were Leo High School with a total of 110.5 points and Carroll High School with a total of 88 points. HNHS came in just behind Carroll, earning 87 points.

Other team scores were as follows:

• Woodlan High School, 67 points.
• Bellmont High School, 64.75 points.
• Lawrence North High School, 57 points.
• New Haven High School, 54 points.
• South Side High School, 30 points.
• Fort Wayne Wayne High School, 25 points.
• Eastern (Greentown) High School, 23.75 points.
• Indy Genesis High School, 17 points.

The individual results for the Huntington North competitors include:

Lawson Shearer- 400-meter dash, 54.92.
 

Second place
Harrison Niswander - 1600-meter run, 4:42.31.

Third place
