HN boys soccer adds two more clean sheets

The Huntington North High School (HNHS) boys varsity soccer team has added two more clean sheets to their season record this year, first by defeating East Noble High School in a mercy-rule 9-0 match on Wednesday, Sept. 15, and then taking a win against Eastbrook High School on Thursday, Sept. 16, which marked senior night for the team.

Against East Noble, goals were earned by Braden Estep with three, Zach Hubartt with two, Ashton Hosler with two and one each from Luke Riggers and Kolton Foster. Assists were made by Hosler, Caleb Kauffman, Riley Jones and Foster.

The win took the team to 10-1 for the season and they yet again improved upon their perfect conference record.

The team took this momentum and applied it to their senior night game on Thursday. Goals were earned by Foster, Brady Henline, Carlos Cuadrado, Estep, Riggers, Gabe Castillo and Grant Beckner. Assists were made by Foster, Riggers, Ben Claghorn, Landon Martin and Hosler. This improved the team to 11-1 for the season.

The junior varsity team also took a win that night, going 1-0 with a goal made by Leaf Vanover. Their record stands 5-3-4 thus far.
