The Huntington North High School (HNHS) girls cross country team earned third place overall during the NE8 Conference meet that took place at Huntington University’s Cross Country course on Saturday, Oct. 2.
It was East Noble that earned the first place designation, with their first four finishers being in the top 10. Their overall score of 35 was followed by Leo High School, with 66. HNHS earned 72, followed by DeKalb High School with 114, Columbia City High School with 114, Norwell High School with 138 and Bellmont High School with 163. New Haven High School had four finishers in total.
Individually, Addy Wiley took second overall, coming in behind East Noble’s Addison Lindsey. Lindsey set a pace of 6:04/M for a time of 18:48.1 and Wiley set a place of 6:14/M for a time of 19:18.4. Johanna Bragg finished 11th for the Lady Vikings, followed by Ella Colclesser who came in 13th. Kaylee Brooks finished 22nd, Gracie Fields finished 24th, Elle McDonald 29th and Brenna Cady 34th.
